The King Charles is located very near to Poole Quay and only metres from the harbour. The building itself is medieval in both age and look, with its black and white exterior and the beautiful mezzanine hall with its old oak beams upstairs. It trades as a community local with a large emphasis on music and also provides a good food offering. The internal trading area is full of character and can accommodate approximately 80 covers, and is broken down into a number of areas for drinking, dining, sports, and a fantastic separate upper-level medieval trading area from which very successful music nights are operated. A good-sized, fully fitted trade kitchen and a decent-sized cellar are also present.
