The Red Lion is traditional inn located in the small village of Jackson Bridge, Holmfirth on the busy A616 road between Huddersfield and Penistone. The popular comedy TV series Last of the Summer Wine was filmed in the village, and it is just a 25 minute walk from the bustling small town of Holmfirth and 6 miles from Huddersfield. The Picturedrome in Holmfirth is a really popular live music venue and is just a 10 minute drive from the pub.
Internally the pub is relatively open plan but really cosy due to the open fire which warms the lounge, bar and snug areas, all of which are served by a central bar. There is a small ground floor catering kitchen that has previously been used to offer a takeaway service and a large first floor fully equipped catering kitchen.
Externally to the front of the pub there is a small covered area and benches, along with a good sized decking area to the side of the pub and a stage. Making it a popular destination in summer months and for live entertainment.
